INGV encoutered the schools of Rome

For the RESPIRE project, during December 2017, the students from local schools of Rome were involved on a re-elaboration of “user friendly” hazard maps to communicate radon hazards for primary, secondary and High schools comprehension. Maps will be redesigned on the basis of available National and European sources of information.

In September 2017 INGV team selected suitable schools, that have already requested the activation of agreement with INGV, to realize training course involving Life Respire activity. The training time will be approximately 70 hours. After the definition of the agreement with school referent and after teachers training on Life Respire project and project expectations, a first formative general part started in October 2017 and involved 15 students from the high school “Ugo Foscolo” of Rome, with a visit to the INGV headquarters and to the geochemical laboratories.
