Third monitor Visit - Life Respire team visits Villa Barattolo (Action B4)

Monday 12 July, a commission of the European project Life Respire, visited Villa Baratto in Rocca di Papa (RM), headquarters of the Park dei Castelli Romani where the remediation works are underway due to Radon, a colorless, odorless and invisible radioactive gas that is generated by the decay of uranium, naturally present in all rocks and land, in particular those of volcanic origin.

The Respire project carried out with the contribution of the European Union Life program, is based on a real-time radon monitoring system and proactive internal reclamation. The expert commission was hosted because the works within the Park headquarters are creating with the same experimental methods of the project, under the supervision of Prof. Lombardi.
